Spazio Interdimensionale is a functional manifesto of Emmanuel Jonckers’ fascination with quantum mechanics and the unseen structures of our universe. It is a work designed to act as a portal—a “breach” where the solid metal reveals a hidden, complex geometry.

The Concept: Inspired by the idea of parallel dimensions and the “void” that exists between particles, this piece explores the tension between a visible surface and an underlying reality. It is a map of a world we cannot see but can instinctively feel—a representation of the structured anarchy that governs the cosmos.

The Materials: The table is crafted from engraved aquatinted maillechort. Its cool, starlit radiance serves as a metaphor for the vastness of space, while the dark, etched recesses suggest the depth of interdimensional passages.

Emmanuel uses the aquatint technique to create a “vibration” on the metal, where lines intersect and overlap like cosmic currents.
