he Gemini table takes its name from the zodiacal constellation, evoking not a physical symmetry but a twin-like bond of forces. It is a work where mineral and metal unite to form a stellar landscape, capturing the essence of a dialogue between earth and sky.

The Concept: Gemini explores the idea of the encounter. In this piece, bronze and shale do not oppose one another; they find common ground. The graphic design of the inlays suggests astral trajectories—invisible lines tracing across the stone’s surface like those connecting stars in the vastness of the night. It is a piece of connection, designed to be the meeting point at the heart of a space.

The Materials: The tabletop is crafted from starred metamorphic shale stone, its deep black hues flecked with natural pyrite inclusions. This “mineral night” is traversed by inlays of engraved aquatinted bronze. The bronze, with its textured patina, provides an organic warmth and timeless nobility that radiates from within the shale.

The Craftsmanship: The artistry of the Gemini table lies in the balance of textures. Emmanuel Jonckers uses his etching technique to create reliefs on the bronze that echo the stone’s natural sediment.
