Through a complex marquetry of Brass and Maillechort, Emmanuel Jonckers traces a shimmering topography, inviting the observer to lose themselves in the furrows of a precious and functional geography.

The Materials: Equinox is a masterful exploration of copper alloys, where the solar warmth of Brass meets the lunar brilliance of Maillechort. The three tables are composed of a complex metal marquetry, supported by massive bases that anchor these shimmering, hand-etched surfaces into the ground.

The Symbolism: The piece is a metaphor for the astronomical equinox—the precise moment of perfect symmetry between day and night. The interlaced golden and silver tones symbolize the eternal dialogue between opposites, creating a cartography where shadow and light find their unity.

The Heritage: Through a meticulous process of etching and inlaying, Emmanuel Jonckers reinterprets the traditional arts of metalwork.
