The Concept : Inspired by a tribal vision of the world’s genesis, Empreinte reflects on the dualities of existence. The Materials : This unique piece is crafted entirely from engraved aquatinted Brass. The choice of this noble, statuary metal provides an immense depth and a timeless warmth, allowing the surface to evolve with a rich patina that echoes the nobility of ancient artifacts.

The Craftsmanship : The surface is a testament to the mastery of aquatint etching on Brass. Emmanuel Jonckers hand-engraves the metal to create micro-reliefs that echo the ridges of a fingerprint or the topographical maps of an unknown land.
