The Rosso Nero table is a work of striking contrasts. Its name, Italian for “Red and Black,” sets the stage for a powerful aesthetic where the mineral depth of shale meets the warm radiance of bronze and the organic vibration of semi-precious stone.

The Concept: Rosso Nero explores the notion of a hidden universe within the rock. Much like a geological rift revealing buried treasures, the table unveils complex inlays that suggest a beating heart at the centre of the stone. It is a piece designed for those seeking a bold presence, capable of harmonising unusual tones within a sophisticated interior.

The Materials: The tabletop is crafted from starred metamorphic shale stone, an intense black stone of infinite nuance. It is elevated by inlays of engraved aquatinted bronze, whose slightly pinkish reflections dialogue perfectly with the vibrant accents of Red Jasper. This semi-precious stone brings a terrestrial intensity and timeless elegance to the composition.

The Craftsmanship: The complexity of this piece lies in the perfect integration of three distinct materials. Emmanuel Jonckers employs his signature etching technique to structure the bronze, creating a relief that appears to fuse with both the shale and the jasper. Every detail is hand-fitted, ensuring a fluid surface despite the diversity of the elements.

The Vision: Designed as a “King Size” table (and customisable for various projects), Rosso Nero is a monumental reception piece. To facilitate transport and handling, the top is composed of two discrete parts, joined with invisible precision.
